Event description

Healthy Eating Series by Toronto Public Health for Birth to Six years by Toronto Public Health, presented in partnership with Working Women Community Centre. 

These workshops are designed for parents and caregivers of children from birth to 6 years and will be led by Azar Mehrabian, Community Nutrition Educator with Toronto Public Health. 

All adults and seniors are welcome!

The workshop topics are:

March 16: Healthy Lunches and Snacks, 11 AM - 12 PM:

  • Key consideration when planning healthy lunches & snacks for children 2 to 6 years
  • Quick and healthy lunch and snack ideas
  • Food safety tips when packing lunches and snacks

March 30: Mealtime Environments and Feeding Relationship, 11 AM - 12 PM:

  • Healthy eating environment and feeding relationship 
  • Common feeding challenges for toddlers and preschoolers and tips to overcome them
  • How to allow children to follow their hunger and fullness cues
  • How to involve children in food skills
