Henna & Heritage: Stories in Every Stroke
This interactive henna program introduces participants to the art and cultural significance of traditional henna. Attendees will learn about henna’s history and its use across different cultures while observing live application techniques. Participants will also have the opportunity to receive simple temporary henna designs on their hands using natural henna in a welcoming environment.
Nipa is a Toronto-based henna artist and community facilitator with experience delivering henna programs at libraries, universities, and community events. Her work focuses on cultural storytelling, creativity, and creating inclusive, engaging spaces for youth and families. She is passionate about using art as a way to bring people together and celebrate cultural traditions.
