How to Emotionally Prepare and Transition to Retirement

on April 8, 2026, 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Event actions

Event description

Jill Kumer and Bryna Wasserman are retired social workers, who each have experience working in the public sector for close to 40 years. In their own retirements they found there was a lack of information and resources to support the emotional changes.  As they began their retirement journey, they quickly learned that being emotionally prepared is as important as the financial readiness in achieving a happy retirement.  Both have a passion for helping others adjust to a healthy retirement and began working together to provide opportunities to share their experience.

This workshop will discuss the emotions attached to the stages of retirement for seniors and others pre and post retirement.  Participants will gain helpful tips that will enhance emotional fulfillment.
