An Introduction to Spoken Word Poetry with Andrea Thompson

Event description

In this lecture Thompson will discuss the genre of spoken word; its history and variety of styles and approaches, as well as tips for creating a writing practice. This session will also offer an overview of the process of writing, editing, rehearsal and performance, while suggesting strategies to banish writers block.
