Event description

True crime is one of the most popular genres in podcasts, documentaries, and streaming television - and the music that drives these stories plays a huge role in building suspense and keeping audiences on the edge of their seats.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll break down what makes an effective true crime soundtrack tick, then use AI tools to compose your own investigative tension track from scratch. The focus will be on using AI as an assistant while keeping you in the driver's seat as the creative decision-maker. No prior music or programming experience is required.

Registration is required.

This program is part of the Innovator in Residence (AI and Music Production) program, which is designed to help beginner and intermediate learners build knowledge and creative skills and get hands-on with current AI tools in music production and learn about the history, copyright and ethics of generative music.
