Branch Art Exhibit: Searching Colours for the Stories by Marina BurkeIn Progress
Throughout the month of April, the works of artist Marina Burke are on display at Leaside branch in an exhibit titled Searching Colours for the Stories.
Marina is a visual artist who lives and creates in Toronto. She has been an active member of The Artists' Network in the East end of the city. She likes to experiment with art thus living in a constant search for the right medium to depict the world inside and out.
"I am constantly evolving as an artist and as a person. The river of life brings the feeling of flow and it is a fascinating ability to experience it. I like depicting people and their faces, trying to reach out to their inner self, to capture their spirits, and, in the end, expressing my own feelings and visions of each and every model that I have."
This exhibit is part of TPL's Art Exhibit program. Toronto Public Library provides space for local artists to exhibit their work at locations across the city. These exhibits aim to reflect the diverse cultural interests of the city and its neighbourhoods.
The exhibit can be viewed during Leaside Branch open hours. Please check the Leaside Branch page before your visit.
