Rainbow Sensory Storytime Social for Neurodivergent Children
Join us for a special Rainbow Storytime version of the adapted Sensory Storytimes for children aged 4-12 and their families to enjoy stories, songs, and rhymes in a sensory-aware environment with sensory tools, toys and accessories. The storytime will include a range of inclusive books, stories, songs and rhymes that foster acceptance, embrace diversity, and help get kids ready for reading!
Afterwards, join us for a 30-minute Stay and Play activity session where children can explore sensory bins, and adults can connect with other parents and caregivers, and discover helpful resources.
These programs are specifically designed to be welcoming to neurodivergent children, including autistic children and those with sensory processing differences. The programs will take place inside S. Walter Stewart Auditorium, with access to the Sensory Room. This program is a neurodivergent positive space.
Registrants will receive a Venue Guide describing accessibility features, sensory accommodations, and further details a few weeks before the program.
This event is part of Toronto Public Library's ongoing Pride series. For 2SLGBTQ+ events, readinglists, videos and more, check out tpl.ca/pride.
