Event description

Take an intermediate Python course to advance your programming skills. This learning circle will meet on Thursday mornings, 10:30-12pm from May 7 to June 25.  Learning circles are study groups guided by staff for people who want to take a free online course together in a welcoming space. Learners meet weekly to complete the course together. Participants are expected to commit to the duration of the course and attend all learning circle sessions. Python Essentials 2 is designed for learners who are already familiar with the essentials of Python, including programming concepts like data types, containers, functions, conditions, and loops.

Required: completion of the Python Essentials 1 course, or equivalent experience.

Python Essentials 2 is the second in a 2-course series that will prepare you for the PCAP – Certified Associate in Python Programming certification exam at Pearson VUE. This intermediate-level course covers advanced aspects of Python programming, including modules, packages, exceptions, file processing, as well as general coding techniques and object-oriented programming (OOP).
