Breast and Cervical Cancer Information Session
Breast and cervical cancer are among the most common cancers affecting women, but early detection and prevention can significantly improve outcomes. Understanding your risk, knowing when to get screened, and being aware of available supports are key steps in protecting your health.
What to Expect:
- Prevention and Early Detection: Learn why screening matters and how it can help detect cancer at earlier, more treatable stages.
- Screening Services: Get an overview of available breast and cervical cancer screening options and what to expect from the process.
- Accessing Care and Support: Learn how to connect with local services, including primary care and other community supports.
This session will be led by Community Health Workers, who will provide practical information and guidance to help you better understand your options and take the next steps.
This program is presented by Toronto Public Library in collaboration with the West Toronto Ontario Health Team (OHT), a network of over 40 local health and social service providers working together to improve the health and well-being of communities in West Toronto.
