Scientists in School: Science Meets Art
Discover what happens when science meets art! Explore perception as you use shadows, colour, motion, and light to create art from science. You’ll make a puppet, a spinning top and a kaleidoscope, as well as design your own galaxy. “The greatest scientists are always artists as well!” (Albert Einstein) Please note: this program is suitable for children 4 years old and above with adult accompaniment. This program allows up to 25 children with their parents and guardians.
When registering, please only include children in the total number of people attending.
Scientists in School is a leading national science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education charity that is dedicated to providing programs for children and youth across Canada. Programs are designed to build confidence in STEM and develop critical thinking skills. The mission of Scientists in School is to ignite scientific curiosity in children so that they question intelligently; learn through discovery; connect scientific knowledge to their world; are excited about science, technology, engineering and math; and have their interest in careers in those fields piqued.
