Join composer-pianist Prof. Rea Beaumont (University of Toronto, Faculty of Music) for a multimedia lecture exploring the inspiration and creative process behind her thirty-minute composition 'Garden Secrets: A Year in the Toronto Botanical Garden' commissioned by the Toronto Botanical Garden. Beaumont reveals how the changing sounds of nature shaped her artistic vision that she researched over a 12-month period and guided the work’s development.
