Event description

In celebration of National Poetry Month, Inuk writer and artist Ashley Qilavaq-Savard will share and discuss works from her collection of poetry, Where the Sea Kuniks the Land. In conversation with Inuk writer Jamesie Fournier, Ashley will discuss her poetry’s connection to the land and to previous generations, with guidance on how attendees can channel this approach into their own creative processes. Towards the end of the program, Ashley will lead a workshop activity where attendees may create their own compositions.

This program is hosted on Zoom and requires registration at the link in the top righthand corner. Registrants will receive an email with the meeting link 24 hours before the program.
