Event description

As a physician and public health specialist, Dr. Kirsten Johnson has led missions in conflict zones, disaster-stricken regions and underserved communities. In her book, Humanitarienne: A Doctor's Stories from the Conflict Zone, she traces how a strict childhood marked by trauma pushed her to seek independence early.

Join this 1-hour presentation where Johnson shares her story as a global health expert working in some of the world's most volatile places and how she pushed back on inequities embedded in humanitarian systems. If you're drawn to international work, social justice, or the ways in which people are shaped by—and in turn shape the world around them, this presentation will inspire you.

Johnson will be in conversation with Cindy Schwartz, a Professional Goal-Centric Coach certified through Concordia University.

Presented as part of Women's History Month.

Registration: This virtual event is free to join and will take place on Zoom.
