Introduction to Toronto Open Data & Public Datasets
There is more data about your neighbourhood than you might think and most of it is free. This session walks you through the Toronto Open Data Portal, Kaggle, and other public dataset sources. You will learn what kinds of data exist, how to find what is relevant to a civic issue, and how to start making sense of it. No data background required.
Arrive 30 minutes before or stay 30 minutes after the program for one-on-one consultations.
This program is part of TPL's Innovator in Residence series focused on civic innovation. From October 5 to November 28, join programs, workshops and one-on-one consultations led by technology strategist Ismail Mohamud to learn how technology can help you create positive change in your community.
